Evaluation of two Strategies for Case-Based Diagnosis handling
Multiple Faults |
![]() |
Abstract. Case-based diagnosis handling multiple faults is still a challenging
task. In this paper we present methods for handling multiple faults,
embedded in the standard CBR cycle.
The approaches extend it by case decomposition and combination strategies
which generate candidate cases for case reuse.
The context of our work is to supplement a medical documentation
and consultation system by CBR techniques which facilitate the extended
retrieval of experiences for experience management.
We present an evaluation of our approaches with a
real-world case base.
Keywords. case-based reasoning, multiple faults
