Case-Based Approaches for Diagnosing Multiple Disorders |
![]() |
Abstract. Multiple disorders are a daily problem in medical diagnosis
and
treatment.
However, case-based diagnosis handling multiple disorders is still a
challenging task.
Although case-based reasoning has been applied successfully in
medical domains, the handling of multiple disorders is often not sufficient.
In this paper, we investigate three improved approaches for handling multiple
disorders in case-based diagnosis.
The methods are evaluated with a medical case base taken from a
real world application.
The context of our work is to supplement a medical documentation
and consultation system by CBR techniques for experience management.
Keywords. Case-based reasoning, multiple disorders
